Third on the Elf Mage toothpick doll series is the element of water. Remember when I mentioned in my previous entry for the series that I liked Magicknight Rayearth? For this elf mage toothpick doll, I got inspired again from one of the main characters, Umi Ryuuzaki's costume on one of the episodes when she boarded the battleship of the twins, Tarta and Tatra.
But enough talk about the anime, I might end up talking about it for the length of this post and that's not my goal here.
I have always enjoyed the water element. I had wished I have a water aspect in my personality: being able to fit in on whatever situation or being able to mingle easily with different kinds of people. Just like how water adapts to different container shapes. I have always been the introverted type. Put me in a room with strangers and I would totally freak out inside, thinking about what would be a nice conversation-starter until I end up not talking at all. Most of the time, I would just wait for them to talk to me instead.
That's why I chose to make water as the third element of my elf mage series. Kinda personal don't you think?
So this is Tidalblinks, the elf mage of Water. She likes splashes, and she enjoys having sand between her toes. She's never the talkative type, she would rather follow what the others have decided, and she never complains. She's passive and never had a problem with letting the others decide what to do in battle strategies, or even on random moments like choosing what to eat for dinner. She's calm most of the time and would bring peace of mind to her friends, but when she gets mad, she's the notorious type. You do not want to mess with her, otherwise you'll be dealing with a storm and tsunami waves. And if ever she gives you the high waters, she can be unforgiving until she pours her anger out you'll even forget how to swim. She's always in-charge of calming down Embertongue whenever she throws a fit because nobody is listening to her. In times of battle, she would join hands with Icytoes and together, they double each other's powers.
She's wearing a crop top and 3/4 sleeves, instead of the puff sleeves I gave Icytoes and Embertongue. I gave her a two-piece dress instead of the usual gown style. Her dress also has subtle touches of golden pom poms attached to her navy blue gown. I gave her a white underskirt just to balance the colors, and to symbolize the remains of waves by the shoreline. I didn't give her a mermaid-tail because if I do, she would seem like she rules the seas like King Triton. Although Embertongue would often tease her as the richest among them all, because she hid thousand chests of gold, treasures from pirates, and sunken ships from over the years that she could build her own underwater museum. Tidalblinks thinks of it as a ridiculous idea but refused to say it out loud.
I also gave her an ash blue hair, accented with an aqua blue headband that flows down to her ankles.
Never forget that adorable pair of elf ears. They're my absolute favorite part of making elf toothpick dolls.
