Have you joined the latest game craze on Facebook Messenger recently? Have you ever received notifications of challenges from your friends about this surprisingly addictive game? Have you ever wondered what's the latest fuss among Facebook Messenger users?
It's none other than the Everwing game. It's similar with the classic mobile game called Space Impact we used to play even before the existence of smartphones and Wifi. Everwing can be played on android and IOS devices online. It's actually an entertaining game, if I do say so myself. It's great for passing time or when you're on the bus ride going home. But never play it when you're walking because you might bump into something on your way like what happened to me. I was playing Everwing and was walking out of my room. I relied completely on my peripheral view but poof! I ended up bumping my forehead on the door, giving my sister a good laugh.
It's a game where you just simply swipe your finger from left-right and vice versa, while the Guardian of your choice shoots bullets on waves and waves of Monsters coming your way. Just make sure to move out of the way when birds turn up as they are indestructible. You also have to defeat bosses which are the big monsters at the end of every stage. But you don't have to worry since you'll be given two companion dragons you can hatch and evolve. You can even purchase dragon eggs depending on their type: common, bronze, silver, gold, rare, magical, or legendary.
After unlocking several guardians, they won't remain on idle mode since you can send them on quests to help you level-up your dragons as well as help you earn gold coins.
But let's put the entertainment aspect of the game aside for a while and let's take a moment to appreciate the art invested on the game. Don't you just adore the characters' or guardians' artistic designs? How each of them present their personalities by their costumes and wands? While browsing the list of characters to choose from, it actually challenged me to make a toothpick doll version of these guardians. Well it is indeed a little similar with my Elf Mage doll series so I gave it a go.
And here she is. Alice, the Guardian of Courage. She's the first character you get on your first play. I made this toothpick doll version for a day and a half.
Let's take a look at her clothes, she's wearing a simple design but it still shouts out her boldness. She's wearing a skirt and a top that enables mobility. She's also wearing shoulder pads as a part of her armor of long silver gloves and knee-high boots. Her sword symbolizes her courage.
And don't you just adore those cute elf ears? I know I've mentioned this in my elf mage doll series but I just love looking at those elf ears (even though they're tough to make because they're just so tiny and I had to make a pair). Let's take a closer look at her side profiles up close.
I also gave her a silver headband. It's one of the easiest ones to make, a whole lot easier than putting limbs and arms together.
And since she had wings, I created a pair of wings out of a plastic cover I got from a salad container from the supermarket. I drew the design first and then painted each pair with glittery nail polish to create that iridescent fairy wings.
Her actual size is no longer than my forefinger. She's 9cm tall and 16.5 cm wide (wings included).
Wondering if I should create a toothpick doll version of each of the next Everwing guardians. What do you think? Did I give justice to Alice's image?
